At the end of November 2018, Wittur plant in Chennai (India) has been audited and certified by TUV Rheinland according to ISO 45001:2018, the new international standard that verifies excellence and good practices in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

Released in March, the new ISO standard puts special emphasis on prevention systems and on the companies' global commitment for the development of a culture of prevention and its continuous improvement. It bases its focus on prevention management as well as on the co-participation of workers and managers in guaranteeing safer and healthier working environments.

Wittur  announces  the  availability of Fineline door in a new execution with restrictor device for coupling with manual swing landing doors according to the requirements of EN81-20/50 (Paragraph 5.3.15.2).

The restrictor device only allows opening of  car  door when aligned with a landing door at each floor.
The new execution is available for 2-panel central opening and side opening and for 4-panel symmetrical and asymmetrical Fineline doors. Dimensions range from 600 to 900 mm clear opening.

On November 7, approximately 100 customers from all across France came to   Wittur’s   local  head office in Lisses, near Paris, for a grand open house.
 
For our French team and our product experts from all over   Wittur’s   world, this was the perfect occasion to present, in our new showroom, the whole range of Wittur solutions and latest product innovations, such as Hydra   eArm   modernization kit (for existing arm-driven Hydra operators), C-Mod car door featuring ECO+ drive and B-G door in vandal-resistant execution. Safety gears, over-speed governors, UCM solutions, gearless drives, cars, slings and modernization packages for existing elevators completed the wide variety of exhibits on display.

On October 25, our colleagues from Wittur GmbH and LM  Liftmaterial celebrated in Wiedenzhausen, together with more than 80 customers from the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), the 50th anniversary of the Wittur Group.

After the first successful meetings held in Spain (Bilbao, Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona) during the past May, the Wittur Tour 2018 had its final stage in Sintra on October 24.

The NAEC'S 69th Annual Convention & 2018 Exposition, the largest vertical transportation show in North America, is going to open its door to professionals of the elevator business on September 24 - 27, 2018 at the Sheraton & Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

The exposition houses 200+ exhibits featuring the industry’s newest technology and products. Among them, Wittur will be present at booth # 1331 to showcase its range of complete entrances, adaptable door operators, space-efficient safety gears and speed control devices, low profile traction machines and modernization kits.

The E2 Forum Frankfurt provides the industry with a technological and content platform to create a dialogue between the elevator industry and the professionals of vertical transportation management in modern buildings. This technical conference celebrated its premiere on 18 and 19 September 2018 at Frankfurt Exhibition centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
