This is the very beginning of the exciting story of  Wittur's  Austrian plant, which on September 7 hosted a great party for its 50 years anniversary. A milestone moment celebrated by our employees together with many guests, among them local politicians, retired employees, neighbours and suppliers.

On September 4 and 5, São Paulo became the  center  of the elevator world during the seventh edition of ExpoElevador, the exhibition that gathers together every year the top companies and key decision makers in our sector in South America.

Approximately 4200 industry experts, coming from 560 different companies, crowded the new and modern pavilion of the PRO MAGNO exhibition  center  to discover the latest trends, product innovation and future trends in vertical transportation.

Thanks to its privileged position right at the entrance of the fair and to the complete product & solution offer for the local market on display, Wittur stand was among the hottest places in the exhibition and our Brazilian sales team has been really busy during the whole two days in meeting and greeting customers and visitors.

"The exhibition has been a huge success for Wittur. We had lots of interesting contacts and discussions at our stand and a great increase in the overall number of participants, which is making ExpoElevador a not-to-miss event for the entire elevator industry", explains Cristiano Troise, Wittur Brazil Sales Manager. "We had the chance to present our complete range of products for the different local market segments. From modernization and residential solutions, with our newly launched SLIM doors, Augusta EVO ECO door operators with Fineline door panels, to innovative products, such as our 6-panel HydraPlus cabin door equipped with SUPRA motorization, which makes it ideal for big-size lifts. A corner of the stand was dedicated to hydraulic solutions, a growing segment in Brazil, where we displayed  an hydraulic  kit with slings, manufactured locally by one of our business partners and distributed by our sales force all across South America".

On June 11, the Wittur Mexican plant in Monclova celebrated its first Safety and Environmental Day! All the members of the local staff participated in conferences and practical activities related to topics such as Personal Protective Equipment, First Aids, Safety in Cylinders, Emergency Response, Safety on Forklift, Wastes Segregation, Environmental Aspects and Impacts. Some of  Wittur’s  local suppliers, specialized on each topic, led the activities and training sessions.
The target of the day was to increase the safety and environmental awareness of all the participants.
During the opening ceremony, a special video with a safety message dedicated to the workers from their families was shown to the public.
The event was also a good opportunity for Wittur Mexico employees to share a picnic lunch  outdoor , get some fresh air and continue to enjoy the training.

2018 is not only the 50^th anniversary of the foundation of Wittur Group, the current year also marks 50 years of activities for our Austrian plant based in Scheibbs. Founded in 1968, - exactly when Horst Wittur started his first entrepreneurial project in Miesberg (Germany) - the Scheibbs plant joined Wittur in year  2000, becoming the group’s centre of competence for door electronics and safety components and slings.

2018 is the 50th anniversary of the foundation of Wittur. Back in 1968, Horst Wittur founded Wittur-Aufzugteile GmbH & Co at the age of 26 in Miesberg near Munich, Germany. 

Our companies around the world are starting to celebrate this milestone moment! On May 26, it was Wittur Italy's turn. Our colleagues in  Colorno opened the doors of the plant to their families and the entire local community for a one-day celebration that reflected the strong bond between our company and the surrounding towns and villages. 

4 cities, 104 companies, 235 participants. These are the impressive numbers of this year's successful edition of Wittur Tour in Spain!

In the past two weeks, our colleagues from the local trading company organized a series of not-to-miss sales & technical meetings, during which our existing and potential customers had the chance to know more about Wittur Group, meet our team and discover our different door product lines.

The first event of Wittur Spain 2018 Tour took place in Bilbao.

More than 80 representatives from 27 different Spanish companies had the chance to touch&feel our product samples and know more about our solutions for door modernization, including Fineline, C-MOD, Ecobus, Hydra and the new replacement kit e-Arm, suitable to convert an old car door arm operator to a more efficient Eco belt one.

Wittur Spain 2018 Tour will continue tomorrow in Madrid with two sessions at Hotel Meliá Avenida América, both fully booked. Next week we will be in Valencia (May 15) and Barcelona (May 16). There are still some places available, book yours now at www.wittur.com

Roberto Zappa,  member  of the supervisory board of the Wittur Group, has been named President of the European Lift Association (ELA), during the latest General Assembly of the association held in Stockholm (Sweden) on April 17.

Mr.  Zappa will lead the ELA board, whose members are elected among the representatives of the main European national associations, for the next three years (2018-2021).

Antoine Doutriaux, Wittur Group CEO, and Wittur teams congratulate  Mr.  Zappa for this prestigious international assignment.

On April 14, Wittur Turkey organized a full day dedicated to the market launch of the CORE door series, the new flagship product in  Wittur’s  portfolio and clearer example of our global approach to innovation and future door technology.
 
The “CORE Day”, hosted in Istanbul, gathered together an amazing record of 628 customers coming from 28 countries and represented a not-to-miss event for the whole elevator industry.
