According to EN81-1/2 A3 and EN81-21 A1 (new lifts in existing buildings), new lifts installed after January 1st 2012 must be equipped with a system to prevent a car moving away from the floor with the landing door not in the locked position and the car door not in the closed position.

Aline Estevant-Rigaut joins Wittur Group as new CHRO
The Wittur Group announced today the appointment of Aline Estevant-Rigaut as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), joining the company on April 9th, 2018.
Aline brings over 25 years of international HR experience to Wittur Executive Management Team. She has led human resources teams for major global companies across a variety of business sectors, including chemical, packaging and automotive.
Most recently, Aline has served as Global Vice President Human Resources for Borg Warner Turbo Systems in the automotive sector, and similarly for Owens Illinois, an international packaging company. In each organization, she helped drive company-wide transformation programs, setting up a talent and leadership development culture.
Born in France, Aline has Masters in HR Management and Business Administration, as well as professional HR qualifications from the London Business School.

In memoriam: Ercüment Hızal
It is with deep regret and profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Mr. Ercüment Hızal, the founder and former Managing Director of Wittur Turkey, on 26 March 2018.
In addition to his family, those of us who had the opportunity to work with him will also feel a tremendous loss. He was an extraordinarily smart and accomplished entrepreneur.
His exceptional work ethic, long-term commitment to the lift industry, unwavering desire to always do the right thing and his belief that his colleagues were integral to both his personal and the company’s success made him truly one of a kind.
Ercüment Hızal will be deeply missed and we extend our sincere condolences to his family.

Hans Koenigshofer appointed COO of Wittur Group
Wittur Group announced today that effective March 1, Johann (Hans) Koenigshofer was appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Member of the Executive Management Team of Wittur Group.
Before joining Wittur in March 2018, Hans worked for Palfinger AG in various positions in Austria and China. He started out in July 2007 as CIO responsible for IT, Process Management and Lean Production. From 2010, he was the responsible General Manager for the EMEA business with direct responsibility for all product development, quality, sourcing and operations. In 2015 he took over the responsibility for Asia and relocated to China. In 2017, he was appointed EVP Operations for all Land business of Palfinger.

The Wittur Group announced today that the Supervisory Board has successfully concluded its search for a new CEO of the company. As of March 1st, Antoine Doutriaux, who previously held leading positions at Valeo and Zodiac Aerospace, will succeed Gerrit Marx who stepped in as interim CEO in June 2017.
