The 30th anniversary edition of Heilbronner Aufzugstage have taken place on March 5th-6th 2013 in Heilbronn. The topic of this year was Electronics in the lift industry and it was appropriately chosen as this was also the topic of the first 1st Heilbronner Aufzugstage conference of 30 years ago. 295 participants from 8 countries attended the two days forum and the related exhibition area.
Wolfgang Adldinger from Wittur presented a speech about “Coming soon : Lifts according to Machine Directive 2006/42/EC”
The paper described in detail the Machine Directive features, the market trends and the application of these features of Wittur products such as HHL W Line home lift.

We all make the difference!

-Annual party of Wittur Elevator Components (Suzhou) co., Ltd successfully held-

Now we bid farewell to 2012, ushered in the hopes of 2013. The annual party of Wittur elevator components (Suzhou) co., ltd named” We all make difference” was held on Jan.25th at Wujiang. The entire party is composed of four episodes: Shining star, Grow together with happiness and pains, Hand in hand facing ups and downs, Make transformation together with same beliefs.

Shining Star
It started with Wittur management team playing the classic Chinese folk song "Congratulations" together with different musical instruments. Mr. Biglino, Executive Vice President Asia Pacific of Wittur, and Mr. Li Shaohua, General Manager of WitturChina, finally showed up on the stage at the end of this music play show, holding a pair of antithetical couplet with "Happy New Year" and “Wishing You Prosperity" respectively.
Mr. Biglino made his opening speech, in which he recalled his experience and life in China during 2012, and expressed his thanks to more than 900 colleagues of Wittur China. Because of the common efforts made by all Wittur China staff, Wittur China achieves a breakthrough and set a new record in its history to gain more than 30% sales growth in 2012! He also hoped that we could all make difference under the leadership of him and Mr. Li Shaohua. Then he invited Dr. Walter Rohregger address his first official speech to Wittur China staffs.
Dr. Rohregger, who was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Wittur Group on February 1, 2012, made his speech, in which he mentioned that China is his second hometown because he used to live in China for four years. Furthermore, in his speech, he reiterated that Wittur China has become more and more important in whole Wittur Group in considering Wittur China’s sales volume so that he embraces great expectations for Wittur China. At the end of his speech, Dr. Walter Rohregger also introduced Dr. Daniel Wiest, new Chief Financial Officer of Wittur Group, to the party attendance.

Grow together with happiness and pains
In the past year, we jointly experienced the ups and downs:
July 2, 2012, Wittur Suzhou new plant expansion project was launched;
September 2012, original Wittur Suzhou factory expansion project was launched.
Why Wittur China can achieve today’s glorious achievements should thanks to the fact that this is a Wittur family full of love, support and trust. In 2013, we will continue to work harder and make more endeavors in order to build a “different” Wittur.
The song "Along With You All the way" sang exactly the voices of the hearts of Wittur’s brothers and sisters: "Along with you all the way, nothing is hard on our journey……" It was followed by the “square dance”, “Singing all the way" which stems from the social life. After the dance show, the whole hall is filled with the beautiful Hulusi music “Fenleaf Hedge Bambusa in the Moonlight” played by Wittur China production department staff. Next performance is the elegant cheongsam and swallow-tailed coat show which brought us back to the 40's "Night in Shanghai". The cross- talk, magic show and Yi’s folk songs coming afterwards all impress us with the brilliant talents of Wittur China staff. After the hottest "Gangnam Style" dance show, 12 beautiful Wittur girls from seven departments cat walked onto T stage and caught all the eyes immediately, livening up the mood of the evening.
The later "Ambulatory Art" - sand painting show told us a story about growth through the mixture of light, shadow and music. Seedlings grew up to towering trees; one person extended to many. So many ups and downs, sweat and tears does the process contain. Suddenly the people painted by sand on the screen are turned into Wittur people, and the number combination of “11+3” appeared, which represented 11 outstanding employees and 3 top sales of Wittur China in 2012. These 14 delegates stepped onto the stage with their smiles blooming on the big screen. They are the models of all Wittur China staff, they are around us!

Hand in hand facing ups and downs
Despite twists and turns in the past 17 years, we, Wittur China people, persist in striding forward together. And 17 years’ exciting exploration will continue......
The drumroll show “Blue and White Porcelain” helped to sketch a picture of a small town of south China, followed by a series of songs sung by colleagues from sales, production, logistics, and R&D Dept. The dance "Most Gorgeous Ethnic Style” from finance Dept. and the comedy “Voice of Wittur China” from quality Dept. both treated us with visual and auditory feast.
Those who have been devoting so many years’ hard working to Wittur China, accompanying Wittur China all the way of growth and development, creating values for Wittur China and becoming outstanding examples of Wittur China staff do deserve the Loyal Employee Award! There are 9 15 – Years’ Service - Employee, 33 10 – Years’ Service - Employee, 42 5 – Years’ Service - Employee in total receiving this award at the party. They are the pillars of continuous and steady development and growth of Wittur China!

Make transformation together with same beliefs
The new direction brings us a new vision. Let’s move forward further and fly higher!
At the ending episode of the party, the performance of playful pop song "Childhood", melodious traditional Yueju opera selection "Heaven Fell Down a Sister Lin" , passionate and inspiring chorus " We Workers Are Blessed With Great Power ", and richly exotic Indian dance from sales administration and marketing departments beautiful girls were played. After the final Grand Prize was awarded, the entire party concluded in a warm atmosphere.

The past year full of growth and harvest has already gone, and we move towards the New Year along with Wittur China.
In retrospect, we were filled with pride and enthusiasm; look ahead, we have significant responsibilities. Let’s make transformation together with same beliefs for the better future! We all make the difference!

The workshop “Beyond the square and the X” organized by the eminent IUAV University of Venice on the 8th of February was a great success for the architecture students and the experts of the lift industry. The aim of the workshop was to discuss together about the integration of elevators in buildings design.

Wittur took part at this appreciated initiative as main sponsor and invited speaker presenting the workshop: “Elevator and architectural design: enhancing aesthetics, energy efficiency, comfort and safety”. Wittur, by showing amazing solutions realized so far, wanted to prove how the elevator can be the aesthetical focus of a building though respecting current regulations.

Among other involving workshops, Dr. Fabrizio Nicoli, ANICA president (National Industries Association for Lift Components ) made for the students an interesting introduction to the elevator working principles and Fabio Liberali, Publishing Manager of the European elevator magazine “Elevatori” made a relevant analysis of the Italian lift market and of its opportunities.

Wittur will participate as main sponsor and invited speaker to the workshop “ Beyond the square and the X: elevators design and technology “.

The workshop is organized on the 8th of February by the eminent IUAV University of Venice. The aim is to discuss together, with architecture students and experts of the field, about the integration of elevators in buildings that today represents, not only a technical challenge, but also the possibility to take advantage of a lot of functional and aesthetical opportunities.

Claudio Felisi, Wittur special projects and modernization manager, will present the workshop “Elevator and architectural design: enhancing aesthetics, energy efficiency, comfort and safety” by showing interesting and amazing installations solutions realized by Wittur so far.

Wittur will be present at IEE TechForum 2013, the knowledge forum for vertical transportation to be held on 22nd and 23rd of February at the NIMHANS Convention Center, Bengaluru, India.

The forum represents the opportunity to discuss together among members of the vertical industry, industry stalwarts and technocrats about the latest most relevant issues and products news and to help this way to spread this knowledge.

This year seminars topics will focus on: Technology Streams, Traffic Analysis, Standards & Codes, Maintenance Practices, Installation Methods and Customer Interaction Forum.
Among them, Wittur will introduce the safety issue presenting his solution for Uncontrolled Car Movements.

The forum will also assign a huge area as expo for the vertical industry to showcase products and services.
Wittur Elevator Components India Pvt. Ltd., Wittur production company based in Chennai, will present MDS1, the new modular lift door for residential applications which is being also manufactured in India and the MCS1 modular car system, based on an innovative fixing system for car panels and characterized by reduced engineering and installation times.

On December 18^th 2012 the Wittur Academy was officially opened in a kick-off event by the CEO Dr. Walter Rohregger, the Wittur Academy Dean Mr. Franco Roccheggiani and the Wittur Vice President of Sales Europe, America and Africa  Mr. Javier Navamuel. The Academy, based in Wiedenzhausen, aims to provide training activities for  the Wittur Group sales force in Europe and worldwide.

The newly built Wittur Academy facilities include a high tech classroom as well as several workshop areas where trainees can perform hands-on sessions: assembling doors, adjusting sliding guides, fine tuning frequency inverters and lift controllers.

The Wittur quality goes beyond products, processes and service: the people are at the center of the Wittur commitment to excellence. By developing excellent sales skills the Wittur Group aims to provide the highest level of service to its customers worldwide.

Wittur Singapore hosted the Grand Opening of the new Asia-Pacific Technical Center on August 16th and 17th, 2012.

The opening of Wittur Singapore Technical Centre is an important milestone in the development of the Asia-Pacific business of the Wittur Group. Our empowered presence in the Asia-Pacific will enable us to build a stronger partnership and provide proximity support to our customers and business partners in the whole region.

There are three main areas of activity for Technical Centre:
1. Technical Presentation and demonstration of Wittur core products relevant for the AP region
2. Product training for customers and continuous product knowledge improvement for Wittur team
1. Effective product support with reduced lead times for AP customers.

The opening note on August 16th was delivered jointly by Mr. Sergio Biglino, Executive Vice President AP, Wittur Group, and Mr. Kenneth Aberg, Managing Director, Wittur Asia Pacific.
After the ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Mr. Aberg introduced the activities of the Wittur Singapore Technical Centre to the guest.
The second day was dedicated to the Tour of facilities and the demonstrations of new products, such as HPDS door system, packages for door modernization, range of controllers and inverters for geared and gearless lift machines. An introduction to spare parts and training capabilities was also part of the agenda.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the many customers and business partners for taking their time out to grace the event. We are going to continue to welcome customers and business partners to visit our Technical Centre, with customized programs for trainings and seminars.

The 5th European Lift Congress organized by The Technical Academy of Heilbronn will take place in Heilbronn on October 9 and 10, 2012. Kerem Kuleli from Wittur will present a lecture about the development of MDS range of lift doors.

The event will be led by Dr. Gerhard Schiffner, and it is supported the European Lift Association ELA, the German Manufacturers’ Associations VDMA and VFA as well as the Association of Technical Inspectorate Agencies VdTÜV.

This year’s Congress will be focusing on lift regulations, on sustainability, safety and technical innovation. Visitors will have the opportunity to obtain the latest information on the planned revision of the Lift Directive and on the first practical experience with the new Machinery Directive. There will be in-depth reporting on the on-going revision of EN 81-1 and EN 81-2, of particular interest given the anticipated availability of the revised draft standards in the autumn of 2012.

On the subject of sustainability, participants will have the chance to hear the results of the E4 project concluded in the spring and the consequences for implementation of energy saving potential in the lift industry; moreover, presentations about the EU project on the achievement of accessibility for all are scheduled.
The planned contributions about safety and technical innovation will be dealing with such wide-ranging topics as systems designed to prevent unintended movement at lift stops, advanced control technology, new developments in the field of suspension systems and energy-saving lift systems.
