According to EN81-1/2 A3 and EN81-21 A1 (new lifts in existing buildings), new lifts installed after January 1st 2012 must be equipped with a system to prevent a car moving away from the floor with the landing door not in the locked position and the car door not in the closed position.

Closing Ceremony of 1st National Vocation Skills Competition for Elevator Installers (Final) held in Chongqing
The 1st National Vocation Skills Competition for Elevator Installers (Final) was held in Chongqing, 17th -19th May. Wittur Elevator Components (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. provided Augusta landing door and Hydraplus car door for the module 4 –Installation and Adjustment of Landing door – and module 5 –Installation and Adjustment of Car door. Wittur has also assigned one technical service engineer to fix small problem due to mis-operation during the competition. All the completion organizer and contents are satisfied with Wittur products and service. Through this competition, Wittur doors were better understood by the participated and as a result, Wittur was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award" during the competition closing ceremony.

Elevator consultants day at Wittur Sweden
Wittur Sweden invited elevator consultants from the Stockholm region to the newly opened Wittur Showroom in Spånga for a full day of technical seminars.
The focus of the meeting was on Wittur gearless drives, controller packages and shaft accessories.
Elisabetta Gasperini, Wittur product manager for gearless drives, introduced the new range of Wittur drive solutions for machine roomless elevators.

Wittur was present at Lift Expo Korea 2014, the international exhibition for Elevator Technology that is scheduled for October 28th-31st at Coex, World Trade Center, in Seoul.

Wittur was glad to invite its customers to WITTUR OPEN DAYS at Wittur S.p.A. in Colorno, Italy on Thursday May 29th and Friday May 30th 2014.
The new HYDRA EVO, the evolution of Wittur bestselling door worldwide, and AUGUSTA EVO, the new residential door were presented during the two days. Wittur Academy also performed assembly tests of the two doors.

Wittur Sweden is “Safety in motion”
The newly opened showroom at Wittur Sweden new facility in Spånga has hosted an event for Wittur customers of the Nordic countries.
More than 100 visitors from Swedem Denmark and Estonia visited Wittur Sweden during a 2-days Open House event, where Wittur was able to show the full range of products, including the HHL homelift, MRM and MRL complete elevator packages.
Wittur forthcoming Hydra EVO door was also on display as a preview, together with Hydra 3000 and Pegasus in standard, EN81-58 fire rated and EN81-71 vandal resistant executions.
The new showroom, besides acting as a permanent exhibition of the Wittur range of products, is also equipped to host commercial and technical training sessions for Wittur customers, including “hands-on” assembly sessions of most Wittur products and technical product training for mechanical and electrical installation teams.

Safety In Motion: Wittur at WEE Expo 2014
Wittur was present at the World Elevator & Escalator Expo 2014 from May 13th to16th at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. The Wittur China booth was located at Area A, Hall 2.1, stand 2115.
The Wittur stand featured the new Wittur logo, "Safety in motion": a worldwide quality manufacturing process ensures that elevator parts from Wittur deliver the highest level of safety possible. Wittur China has always been focused on understanding customers’ need, providing Chinese market with global high performance solutions and value-added services, seeking for joint success with Chinese elevator manufacturers. By 2014, Wittur China has 21 sales service centers to keep close collaboration with its customers.
WEE Expo visitors ware able to experience Wittur’s wide range of solutions and a selection of new products on the booth. The products and solutions are arranged by five keywords: Safety, Innovation, Modernization, High-performance, and Energy-saving.
SAFETY
The NETTUNO with under driven mechanism, equipped with WFSD, which prevents fingers to be trapped when dragged by glass panels, was displayed in the Safety section. Wittur fire rated doors also were also presented. The UCM solution which consists of the electronic overspeed governor EOS and the bi-directional progressive safety gear BSG-25P were also presented. A selection of other Wittur safety components further demonstrated Wittur’s expertise in elevator safety.
INNOVATION
In this corner, Wittur displayed a series of most innovative solutions, such as HYDRA Evo, the EN81-20/50 compliant evolution of Wittur HYDRA; MCS1, a new range of modular cars based on an innovative fixing system. A square panoramic car, which is easy to adapt to both technological and prestigious environments was presented as well.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
PEGASUS Skyline was displayed as a representation of Wittur’s high-performance solutions. A series of safety components applied for high performance completed this section.
ENERGY SAVING
In the energy saving section, WSG 09, the machine solution with high efficiency and reduced power consumption, developed and produced for China market, was displayed for the first time in a Chinese exhibition. WSG-S2 was displayed as a representation of WSG-S series machine. ECO+ and MIDI+ brushless door drives with energy efficient operation and 0 watt standby capability were also available on the booth.
MODERNIZATION
A modernization kit for door which is designed to replace specific products was the highlight display. Moreover, reference modernization projects were shown in the modernization section.
Wittur booth visitors were able to experience on-site landing door assembling in the Wittur Academy section and get more detailed information about Wittur China academy. Training sessions are available in both Wittur Academy China in Suzhou and Wittur Academy Europe in Wiedenzhausen, Germany. Moreover, trainers of Wittur Academy delivered live presentations for all solutions and products on the Wittur booth.
Wittur held the “Safety in Motion” seminar on May 14th from 14:00 to 16:00 in the 1st Meeting Room, in Hall 1.2, Area A. Experts from Wittur Europe and China delivered presentations about Wittur’s latest products and concepts.

New Opportunities for Modernization of existing lifts
Wittur's showroom has been at customers' disposal starting from 9.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. Many new products were presented:
- New HYDRA 3000 PLUS serires of car operators in 2 panels, 3 panels, 4 panels version;
- ECO BUS folding door with new flat panel execution
- FINELINE door in a new version with frames and new finishing possibilities
- New Wittur cars with horizontal staves and self-standing panoramic wall available as option
Short presentations of the new products were scheduled during the two days.
A guided visit of the production facility was scheduled at one hour intervals, starting from 9.30 a.m.

From Bot&Co. to Wittur B.V.: celebrating 50 years in the lift business
Wittur BV 50th Anniversary Open House
Wittur B.V. welcomes its customers on April 8th-9th 2010, in its headquarters in Almere, The Netherlands for an Open house showing the latest lift components introduced by Wittur.
This year’s Open house is also a special occasion to celebrate, as it marks the 50th anniversary since the establishment of the company.
Wittur B.V. started its activity in the lift business in April 1960 with the name Bot & Co. It was established by Mr C. Bot and Mr. J. van Woerden in Hilversum, The Netherlands.
During the seventies, the cooperation between Bot and Wittur pushed a steady growth of activities on the Dutch and Belgian lift market.
The move in 1980 from Hilversum to Almere gave these activities a further push. In 2001 the company became part of Wittur Group under the name Wittur B.V.
