Since then, the company has continuously expanded its product portfolio and production footprint, both organically and through acquisitions, including the Kone plant in Scheibbs (Austria) and SOIMET (Argentina) in 2000.
Wittur was an early entrant into a number of emerging markets with local production, such as Turkey in 1993, China in 1995, Argentina and Brazil both in 2000, Slovakia in 2009 and, most recently, India in 2010. At the same time, the international sales activities were progressively rolled out from the late 1970s onwards with the establishment of trading companies in the Netherlands, France, Australia, Hong Kong, the UK, Poland, Singapore and Sweden to operate a worldwide sales network which today covers more than 50 countries.
In 2016, Wittur further expanded its global reach and its portfolio with the acquisition of the Itlian Sematic Group (founded in 1959).

Wittur offers a wide range of car and counterweight frames. Modularly conceived, these components are very flexible in terms of rated load, height and width. According to EN81-1/2 A3 and EN81-21 A1 (new lifts in existing buildings), new lifts installed after January 1st 2012 must be equipped with a system to prevent a car moving away from the floor with the landing door not in the locked position and the car door not in the closed position.
