According to EN81-1/2 A3 and EN81-21 A1 (new lifts in existing buildings), new lifts installed after January 1st 2012 must be equipped with a system to prevent a car moving away from the floor with the landing door not in the locked position and the car door not in the closed position.

Elevator Innovation on Display at Elevcon 2016
On May 10-12, the Hilton hotel in Madrid (Spain) will host Elevcon 2016, the 21st World Congress of the International Association of Elevator Engineers (IAEE). Technical leading experts and key representatives within the vertical transportation industry from all over the world will gather together in the Spanish capital city for an outstanding program of presentations. The list of speakers is the largest of any Elevcon edition and Wittur representatives will play a key role in the conference presenting four different topics all focused on innovative solutions and future technology (save the date!):
Together with the congress, also an exhibition of industry innovations is planned for the three-day event. In its own stand, Wittur will present the Augusta EVO, the new affordable quality landing door for the residential market, easy and fast to install and maintain; an operating sample of Universal coupler, a patented solution for the modernization of a variety of doors; a live demo of the augmented reality tool (try it first!) that we’re currently designing and developing for maintenance and installation purposes, as well as its renewed image after the integration with Sematic.
